About

We Believe in the
Power of Play

Play is how children make sense of the world. It’s how they test ideas, build confidence, ask better questions, and discover what they love. The Orange County Children’s Museum will be built entirely around that belief — every exhibit, every program, every square foot designed to turn curiosity into learning.

Right now, Orange County families have to leave the county to find that kind of experience. We’re changing that. Our vision is a flagship museum in the heart of Orange County — a destination for the whole Hudson Valley — supported by satellite locations that bring hands-on discovery into more communities.

One Museum. Many Doorways to Discovery.

The flagship location will feature approximately 30,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space focused on STEM, art, and imaginative play — with room for school field trips, birthday parties, camps, and community events. Satellite locations across the county will extend the experience, so no family is far from a place to play and learn.

Built by Community, for Community.

The museum is founded by the Junior League of Orange County, NY, whose members have served Hudson Valley families for generations. We’re joined by a growing coalition of elected officials, local businesses, educators, and families who believe Orange County’s children deserve this.
